Being Involved in the Parish

Being a Christian means more than just coming to Church on Sunday.  While our participation in the Mass is the summit of our Christian life, it is also the source.  One may not meet the Lord Jesus in the Eucharist each week and not be changed by it.  From our participation in the Mass should flow our desire to be involved in the various other activities that are a part of the life of the parish.  We are called to pray together and participate in the rich devotional life of the Church.  To grow in holiness, we need the support and fraternity of others, especially our fellow Christians.  Our love for God should also overflow to our love of our neighbors, moving us to work for those who are suffering and desperately need our help.
